Attached to this article is the latest version of the SpamTitan Outlook Addin.
Before installing the SpamTitan Outlook Addin, please have the following pre-requirements installed. If you had the SpamTitan Outlook Add-In installed previously you will need to make sure that the "Primary interop assemblies 2010" are uninstalled. Having the "Primary interop assemblies 2010" installed will prevent SpamTitan Outlook Addin 2.2 from working correctly.
Windows 7 / 8 / 8.1 / 10 (Outlook 2010, 2013, 2016)
- .NET Framework 4.0
Visual Studio 2010 Tools for Office Runtime
Once both of the above are installed, click on the SpamTitan Outlook Addin MSI installer.
You will be directed to a screen looking for the IP address of your SpamTitan Server and the port for access (default is 80)
After confirming the location you would like to install the addin, click next and the installation process will begin.
Once the installation is complete, you can click finish to end the process. If you then open Microsoft Outlook, and direct to the Add-Ins tab you will see the SpamTitan Outlook Addin Ribbon which allows you to Whitelist and Blacklist senders as well as mark mails as Spam and Ham. You can save the User Login details here as well as configure the IP that it connects to for your SpamTitan Server.
Problems installing the Outlook Addin?
On occasion there can be issues installing the Outlook addin.
Some symptoms include:
- The installation process successfully completing
- The addin is listed correctly in the list of Installed Programs
- The addin does not appear in Outlook, or in the list of available addins in outlook
In recent times we have seen this to be an issue where the registry entry has been prevented during install in some environments. The fix for this is actually quite simple.
Along with the Outlook Addin, we can see the st.reg registry key attached to this article. Simply Download this, add it to your registry by double clicking on it, and after restarting outlook you should now see the addin available to Outlook.
